Saturday, June 26th, 2010

iPhoto application is very ingenious tool that comes in bundle with Mac OS X operating system and helps for the storage, import, share, maintain, print and edit different digital image on the Mac. It organizes all the photos in iPhoto Library folder with the help of other folders that store different information’s related to the images like keywords, ratings, albums etc. But if the photos or images deleted or corrupted somehow from the Mac systems then you will no longer be able to access those images again. At that point of time if the backup of the photos are not available then recovering those photos is really a back breaking task.

Lets consider a situation where while using iPhoto application in Mac systems you find some of the photos are missing from the iPhoto Library , you tried lot but you failed to find them anywhere. This might have happened due to iPhoto Library structure issue or accidentally deletion of photos from the system. In order to get the photos back you need to restore the available or valid backup. But in case the backup was corrupted or you didn’t backed up the iPhoto Library then in order to get back the photos you need to use any third party software. The third party recovery software will effectively scan the entire iPhoto Library folder and will effectively recover the lost, deleted or missing photos and will store it in a safe and secure location.

Duplicate photos causing data loss from iPhoto Library

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Sometimes duplicate photos are stored in iPhoto library folders and subfolders. This occupies lots of unnecessary space and increases the congestion while accessing the photos. This happens very oftenly despite of having the protective features which prevents the uploading of the duplicate photos. As digital cameras have become popular in very short period of time, so the accumulation of collection of photographs has created many ambiguities and problems in storing, sharing, editing and most importantly managing the digital photos in the iPhoto Library.

In fact in some cases deletion of duplicate photos can also cause deletion of original photos which is another bottleneck for the users. Once the photos are deleted from the system it is very hard to get them back but not impossible. Actually when the photos from the iPhoto gets lost its entry only gets lost but the data remains intact in the hard drive of the Mac which can be recovered easily just by using any third party software like iPhoto Library Recovery software. This software recovers the lost, deleted, formatted and missing photos from the iPhoto and stores it in safe and secure place. But provided the available address spaces should not claimed i.e. the address space should not be overwritten.
